Patricia "Patsy" Mitchell Brown

Mrs. Patricia “Patsy” Mitchell Brown, age 77, passed away Monday February 17, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday February 20, 2026, at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mrs. Brown was born, in Guilford County, to the late Harvey and Lena Mitchell.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with gifts.  She was an amazing cook and a caregiver. She retired from Guilford County School System as an accounts payable clerk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years Walter “Dubby” Brown, Jr and daughter Laurie Brown.

Patsy is survived by her children Carolyn Barskevicius (Marius) and Mitchell Brown (Fiancé Renee); sister Shirley Nelson. She was adored by her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was loved by all who knew her.
