Randy Wayne Gardner

Randy Wayne Gardner, 62, of Reidsville died Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 16, 2026 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Randy was a member of Reedy Fork Community Church, where he contributed his time to the youth group. He also served as a counselor for Grief Share at Lebanon Baptist Church. He embraced life, finding joy in visits to the beach or the lake. Known as the family comedian, he had a unique ability to bring laughter to those around him. Randy held a deep affection for his family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Randy is preceded in death by his son, Randy “RJ” Wayne Gardner, II and his stepfather, Harold Gammons.

He is survived by his love, Rhonda Holley; mother, Elsie Rigney Gardner; father, Ronald W. Gardner (Ruth); brother, Ronnie Gardner; nieces, Courtney Shelton (Lee), Brittney Branch (Brandon), and Nicole DeCatur (Jake); great nieces and nephews, Teryn, Reed, Hayden, Ty, Lillie, Jaxon, Harleigh, Raelyn, Rowan, Colson, and Indy; special aunt, Kim Stanley; and a host of aunts, uncles and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one’s choice that helps with cancer treatment and research or any charity that focuses on recovery.
