Randy McCann Obituary

Randy Lee McCann, born on January 16, 1956, in Greensboro, NC, passed away on September 5, 2025, in Greensboro, at the age of 69.

A service to honor and remember Randy will be held on Wednesday, September 10, at 11:00am at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the mausoleum chapel at Lakeview Memorial Park for one hour, from 10:00 am to 11:00am, prior to the service. The family appreciates the support and condolences from all who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

Randy served in the United States Air Force and had fond memories of his travels around the United States. Once he left the service, he was a dedicated employee to the printing industry. Late in life, he became self employed as a home repair specialist. He was known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and his commitment to his duties.

Once Randy retired, he took up golf and fishing. He had a passion for life that was evident in his many interests. He was an avid supporter of any sport that UNC participated in and cherished spending time outdoors. Randy found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ray and Mazie McCann.

Randy is survived by a loving family who will miss him dearly: his wife, Brenda McCann; brothers, Mike McCann and David McCann and numerous uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Randy’s honor to the SPCA on Hines Chapel Road in Greensboro, a local branch of the American Cancer Society or to AuthoraCare Collective in Greensboro.

Brenda would like to express a very special thank you to her wall through this whole ordeal, Steve and Penny Welch. You both have a special place in my heart!!! She would also like to thank Wesley Long Cancer Center and AuthoraCare Collective Beacon Place for their support in this journey. It definitely takes a village!!!

Randy will be remembered as a loyal and trustworthy friend. He was always ready and willing to give you his all.

“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose. Memories are the timeless treasures of the heart.”
