Mr. Raymond Edward Goss, 67, of Randleman, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center with his loving wife and family by his side.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at 11:00 am at Brookhaven Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Daniel and Rev. Bobby Meindl officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
Mr. Goss was born in Vigo County, IN to the late Charles Goss, Jr. and Dorothy Baber Goss. Raymond loved God and his country. He served 20 years in the Indiana Air National Guard where he was promoted to Sergeant, while he worked in communications and on large jets. After leaving the service he worked commercially for Friedrich Metal Products as a commercial oven assembler. Mr. Goss attended Brookhaven Baptist Church for over 20 years where he served as deacon. He enjoyed attending church and singing in the choir. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife around the world to Israel, Canada, and Mexico, and he enjoyed road trips around the United States. He liked to watch Star Trek and crime television shows. Above all, he loved his wife and family dearly and cherished his time with them. A thumbs-up signal was his special sign to them even after his health began to fail.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Ray Goss; his brother Ronald Walker; and sister Minona Eley.
Surviving are his loving wife, Terry Bryant Goss; children, Brandi Mallory (Luke), Christopher Davis (Christy), and Patrick Davis; grandchildren, Brooklyn Mallory, Caleb Mallory, Abigail Brian (Landon), Venice Goss, Lennox Goss, and Angel Davis; siblings, Carmen McKee of FL, Terri Weise of IN, Rose Winn of IN, and Florance Shattuck of IN; also surviving are many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am at the church prior to the service.
