Rebecca (Craven) Terrell

Mrs. Rebecca Craven Terrell, 83, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Beacon Place. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at New Bessemer Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, and other times at her home.

Mrs. Terrell was born November 17, 1941 in Guilford County to the late Joe Reece Craven and Rachel Hughes Craven.  She was a member of New Bessemer Baptist Church and retired from the United States Postal Service after 33 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Layton Terrell, Sr.

Mrs. Terrell is survived by her daughters, Annette Bowers (Kevin), and Rhonda Cobb (Chris); grandchildren, Reece Bowers (Katie), Maggie Cobb, and Layton Cobb; great-granddaughter, Kora Bowers; sister, Jo Ree Craven Crawford; niece, Stephanie Crawford; and great-nephew, Christian Crawford (Blake), who was like a grandson to her.
