Regina “Gina” Thompson Varner, 57, of High Point, passed away on March 28, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Gina was born on November 12, 1968, in Guilford County, to the late Walter and Frances Thompson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Varner and her brother, Red Thompson. After graduating from Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro, Gina also graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill receiving a Bachelor’s Degree. She worked for many years in the trucking/logistics industry and most recently with EPES Logistics. Gina was a quiet and private person who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She also loved reading, scrapbooking and enjoyed all kinds of music. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, McKenna Varner and Parrish Varner and her siblings, Kathy Thompson, Jim “J.C.” Thompson and Wanda McSweeney.
