Mr. Richard Carl Collier, 88, of Greensboro, passed away on September 12, 2020, at Beacon Place.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday at Greensboro Christian Church with Pastor Les Croft officiating. The burial will follow, with military honors, at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Richard was born April 1, 1932, in St. Helens, Oregon to the late Richard and Laura Baughman Collier. He was a member of Greensboro Christian Church where he formerly served as a Deacon. He was owner and operator of Triad Refrigeration. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Princeton CV-37. He was a member of Greensboro VFW where he formerly served as president and also on the honor guard.
Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margie C. Collier; children, Lauretta Collier (Bill), Richard Charles Collier (deceased), Tami Collier-Bullis, and Patty Dee Cramer(Carey); brothers, Jerry Wayne Collier (Sheri) and Howard Charles Collier; sisters, Jeanne Collier Heyne, Clover Collier Hill (Paul) and Patty Diane Seeberger (Rick) and numerous grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Greensboro Christian Church in memory of Richard.
