Robert Donald Brown, Sr.

Mr. Robert Donald Brown, Sr., 86, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

Funeral service will held at 12:00pm at George Brothers Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 with Pastor Andy Garner officiating.  Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. 

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean Brown; daughter, Penny Cox; parents, J.T. and Annie Brown; brother, Buck Brown; and sisters, Norma Jean Mitchell and Brenda Dove.

Robert loved the Lord and telling others about Him.  He was a longtime member of Rehobeth Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School teacher, deacon, trustee, and groundskeeper for many years.  He worked as a carpenter for most of his adult life.

He is survived by his daughter, Patty Transeau; son, Robert Brown, Jr.; grandchildren, Brandie, Deana, Donnie, Deanna, Crystal, and Timmy; several great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom he loved.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service.
