Robert David Burke

Mr. Robert David Burke, 78, of Greensboro, passed away on June 26, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

David was born in Lee County, NC on September 20, 1945. He was the son of the late R. Duffie Burke and Hazel Dismukes Brown. David was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1963 to 1967. Upon returning home, he worked for Gilbarco and retired after forty-one years of service.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Grogan Burke; son, Robert David Burke, Jr. (Christie); daughter, Heather Burke-Bowers (Jason); grandchildren, Carson Bowers and Davis Bowers; brother, John Burke (Linda) and sister, Donna Brooks (Glen). He was predeceased by daughter, Deanna Hazel Burke.
