Mr. Robert Henry Moorefield, Jr., age 78, passed away Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Mr. Moorefield was born in Guilford County to the late Robert and Anne Taylor Moorefield, Sr. He was a graduate of Sanford High School and furthered his education at Jefferson Business College. He was a Vietnam Veteran while serving in the United States Navy from 1962-1967. He worked for several telecommunication companies, an avid Carolina Tarheel Football fan, and was a member of the American Legion for the past forty-nine years.

Robert loved his family, and never met a stranger. He had a kind and gentle heart and was loved by all who knew him. He met the love of his life, while in California, and was married to Connie Vestal Moorefield.

In addition to his wife Connie, he is survived by his son Robert Moorefield, III; grandchildren Jessica Moorefield, and Robert Moorefield , IV (Sabrina); great- grandchildren Jailynn Moorefield, Keyton Harris, Tyler Moorefield, Atlas Moorefield, Leo Shumate, Zethues Shumate, and Grace Anderson.
