Robert Eugene Smith

Mr. Robert Eugene “Cupless” Smith, 75, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Beacon Place.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park with Dr. Richard Harrell officiating.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Elsie Smith; son, Christopher Robert Smith; and brother, John Smith.

Robert was just a good ole country boy who loved hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking with his family.  He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching football.  He loved his family, talking to people, and he never met a stranger.  He served his country as an MP in the Army during The Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances Smith; daughter, Crystal Reardon; son, Christopher Michael Smith (Sherry); 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Hodgin; brother, David Smith (Carolyn); best friend, Don Greeson (Jean); special nephew, Eddie Hodgin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends whom he loved.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30-1:00 pm at the mausoleum chapel at Lakeview Memorial Park prior to the service.
