Robert Vance Fields

Mr. Robert Vance Fields, 86, of Climax, passed away on April 18, 2022.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 23, at 2:00 pm at the Arbor at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. There will be a private burial in the family cemetery on his farm.

Robert was born and passed away on his family farm, Rocking F Farm in Climax. Beginning as a dairy farmer and later a beef farmer, Robert farmed his land his whole life. He also drove a truck for 38 years. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and attended Friendship Baptist Church of Level Cross. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Lillie Peacock Fields and his sister, Clara Lou Crandal.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Marguerite Fields (Steve); his granddaughter, Anna Marshall (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Tyla Marshall and Sophie Marshall; sisters, Nancy Golden and family and Joyce Tate and family; his very special friend and her extended family, Verna Martin. In addition, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall one hour prior to and immediately following the service.
