Roger Dell McHone

Roger Dell McHone, 3 weeks shy of 80 years young, of Lexington, NC passed away suddenly on Thursday April 11th, 2024. His loss is very unexpected and the family is profoundly saddened.
 

Roger was born May 1, 1944 in Mt. Airy, NC . Family who have gone before him and were awaiting his arrival at Heaven’s Gate...parents, Fred and Lola Mchone; brother, Fred “Jr” McHone; sister, Shirley Creed; sister, Lillie Mae Simmons; oldest daughter, Lisa McHone; and loving wife of 42 years, Sandra G. McHone.

Those left behind to miss him dearly with every passing day...daughters, Tonya Michelle Talbert (Charles) and Bambi Johnson (Matt), both of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Logan Everhart (Andrew), Taylor Walser (Zeb), Lucas Johnson, Makayla Shaw (Logan), Chad Talbert (Ashley) and Will Talbert; 3 great-grandchildren; his loving companion, Pat Parrish; 3 sisters, Ruth Massey, Pam Duggins (Gene), Linda King (Larry); and so many other family and friends too numerous to list.

A graveside service will be held April 25th, 2024 at 3pm at Lakeview Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the home of his daughter, Michelle Talbert at 6143 West Old US Highway 64, Lexington, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization that was close to his heart.
