Sara Lynn Sims, 35, of Greensboro, went home to Heaven on October 23, 2025, at her home while surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Brother Dale Herndon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.
Sara was born in Guilford County on December 1, 1989. She attended Gateway Education Center from the age of six months until she turned twenty years old. She is embraced in Heaven by her paternal grandparents, Sue and Tommy Sims; sister, Dana Blevins; aunt, Carla Tucker and uncle, Michael Burke.
Sara will be missed so much by her loving parents, Sheila and Glen Comer and Todd and Angie Sims; her sisters, Holly Sims and Maggy Sims; her maternal grandmother, “Nannie”, Alma Sue Burke; her brothers, Buck and Dusty Comer; her aunts, Vickie Weaver (Jimmy) and Vicki Hodgin; her very special niece, Kylie Comer and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Fund.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of the Piedmont for the love and care they have shown Sara and the family through this most difficult time.
Those who knew Sara know that Barney was a big part of our family. Thank you Barney for all of the great memories!
