Scott Williamson Obituary

Scott Dean Williamson, 60, of Randolph County died Friday, April 25, 2025 at his residence.

A celebration of life will be announced later.

Scott loved fishing with his daughter. They would always compete to see who could catch the most. He loved playing with his grandchildren and was known to be an awesome “PawPaw”.  He enjoyed being around cars “turning wrenches” as he used to say. He followed NASCAR closely. He worked with Leo’s Car Care in Asheboro for four years where he found himself in many outrageous situations that included shooting, hookers, and unknowingly driving a customer’s car with over a pound of pot in the trunk. The customer did apologize and said, “he forgot it was there”. Scott had a love for animals like the time he made sure that three orphaned squirrels were rehabbed to health after mama squirrel was hit by a car. He had to employ the help of a drug addict in catching the third squirrel who wanted $5.00 for his act of bravery. Scott gave him only $2.00.

Scott had a stubborn streak as witnessed by the wonderful staff StayWell Care as they tried to keep Scott doing what his doctors asked him to do and what they told him not to do.

Scott is preceded in death by his son, Trent Taylor and his grandma Naomi Williamson.

Scott leaves behind his wife, Sheila Taylor; daughter, Amber Taylor; granddaughters, Ava and Airlia; grandson, Atlas; sister-in-law, Annette Bower (Mike); mother-in-law, Yonnie Reynolds; father-in-law Robert Wells; bonus mother-in-law, Carol Wells; two nieces; seven nephews; best friends, Barbara and Marshall Holleman, Paul Young, Brian Alley, Heather McGee, Mark Tew, Allen Thorton, Larry Wilhite, and a host of others; his dog ‘Snickers” that never left his side; and cats, “Casper” and “LuLu”. (Scott didn’t know he liked cats until he met his crazy cat lady.
