Shannon Hutson Oliver

Shannon H. Oliver, 63, of Greensboro, prayerfully left this life and entered Heaven surrounded with his loving wife Cindy, daughter Ashley, and close family members on Saturday, March 28, 2021 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Shannon was a life-long member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. He previously owned and operated Copier Source, Inc. in Greensboro.  For the last 15 years, Shannon with Cindy’s support followed in his dad’s footsteps raising cattle and farming with his good friend Dr. Wilson Elkins. He was a past member of the Guilford Rotary Club where he served as an officer, the Chamber of Commerce, the Business Technology Association. He was a current member and officer of the North Carolina Cattlemen’s Association. He always had a love of flying starting with model airplanes and then later getting his pilot’s license.

For his family and friends, Shannon was a giant.  His loving gregarious nature and his wonderful smile filled any room when he was present.

Shannon loved life, his wife, his daughter, and family.  He leaves a void in many lives that can never be filled.

Shannon is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Gwen Oliver.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Oliver; daughter, Ashley Nicole Oliver; bros, Mike Oliver (Anne), James Oliver (Gail); sister, Sheila Inman; along with a large extended family which he loved very much.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, April 2, 2021 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday April 3 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
