Mrs. Sheila Smith Vermeulen, 62, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at Randolph Hospice Home.
Mrs. Vermeulen will be laid to rest at a private service at Salisbury National Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Sheila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. All that knew her loved her and appreciated their time spent with her. She was always laughing and enjoyed making others laugh. She was a member of Grace Gospel Tabernacle, and enjoyed spending her time in her yard working with her flowers, in her garden, and she loved to collect cows.
Mrs. Vermeulen was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Smith; brother, David Smith; grandmother, Mabel Smith; and many other aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Doug Vermeulen; son, Jeffrey Tuttle, Jr.; daughter, Heather Johnson (Charles); grandchildren, Cody (Jessica), Logan, Mackenzie, and Joshua; mother, Margaret Darnell; sister, Gail Sparks; as well as numerous other family and friends whom she loved.
