Sid Cheek

Mr. Sid Cheek, 76, of High Point, passed away May 23, 2025.

He was born in Guilford County on April 22, 1949, to the late Gilmer and Dorothy Cheek. He was retired from the United States Navy after twenty-one years of service in the Atlantic and Pacific Submarine Forces. He continued his service to others as a longtime member of the Randolph County Honor Guard helping to honor veterans from all branches of the United States Military. He was also a member of Light For Christ Ministries. “Do not mourn for he is saved by Christ, Son of God and Redeemer of our sins. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens.”

Sid is survived by his son, Mike  Cheek  (Karrie); his grandson, Paul Cheek (Michaela); niece, Kelly Platillero (Paul); his brother, Gilmer Cheek (Katie) and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1803 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
