Sidney Jay Neese

Sidney Jay Neese, 75, died Friday, July 4, 2025, at his home.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2-4pm Saturday, August 30, 2025 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Sidney was born March 22, 1950, in Guilford County to the late Chalmer Edell Neese and Ruby Hockaday Neese.  He worked as an electrician and handy man for over 30 years.  He loved to fish, ride four wheelers around West Virginia, and racing - especially serving on his son’s Pit Crew.  His passion was participating and judging Turkey Shoots over the years and was proud of helping organize the MSA Turkey Shoot in McLeansville.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry Stinson, David Neese, and Michael “Stinky” Neese.

Sidney is survived his son, Kevin Jay Neese (Jennifer); daughter, Laurie Kay Neese (Bert); granddaughter, Kaylie Neese; and nieces and nephews, Scott Neese, Cassie Neese, Sherri Neese, Joey Neese, Logan Neese, and Haylin Neese.
