Soojin Chung was born on December 28th, 1929 in Korea. She was the youngest daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Eungsook Hur. Her family moved to many different places due to her father’s ministry as a pastor.
In 1949 she married Bokwon Chung. During this time Bokwon was in Bible college to become a pastor, and Soojin worked as a seamstress.
During their marriage, she traveled with her husband to visit the historical churches of the Christian faith. These countries included China, Europe, Asia Minor and Russia as well as Israel.
In 1982 she met the Brethren of Global Missions and they visited the church where her husband ministered.
In 2006 they immigrated to a Korean community in Philadelphia. They later moved to live with their daughter in High Point. Here, they attended the church at High Point.
After her beloved husband passed away in 2014, she traveled to Canada for the first time where she met the brethren of Global Missions church.
She continued to live with her daughter, Sunmi and her husband Richard until she was called to be with the Lord in 2021.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dongjin Chung and her daughter , Eunmi Chung.
She is survived by her daughter, Sunmi Rosenberg and husband, Richard Rosenberg and her grandchildren, Joey , Grace, Tim, and Faith Rosenberg and Grace and Mary Chung.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
