Sylvia Marie (Betts) Miller

Mrs. Sylvia Marie Betts Miller, 81, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her home in Walkertown. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Aycock Fellowship Ministry with Pastor’s Ira Godwin and Donnie Pickeral officiating. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle Betts; sisters, Elsie Templeton, Margaret Richardson, and Karen Godwin; and brother, Roy Buchanan. Sylvia loved attending races at local racetracks. She was a longtime member of Aycock Fellowship Ministries where she loved singing and being part of the church choir. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ronnie Miller; children, Lonnie Handy (Tracey), Kelly Sawyer (Rusty), Kevin Handy (Christy), and Leah Cruthis (Chris); grandchildren, Tasha, Carrie, Dylan, Taylor, Landon, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Colton, Layla, and Aiden; sister, Sarah Combs; as well as numerous family members and friends whom she loved. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
