Teddy G. Ward, 71, of Greensboro died Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at AuthoraCare Hospice Home of Burlington.
Funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2026 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Midway Cemetery in McLeansville.
Ted graduated from Smith High School in 1972 and later pursued studies at Guilford Technical Community College. He demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship during his long tenure at P & H Plumbing in Greensboro. A passionate traveler, Ted cherished adventures with his family and was also an enthusiastic gun collector. Known for his humor, he delighted in sharing entertaining stories that kept those around him laughing.
Ted is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Norman Ward; father, Jim Ward; mother, Bobbie Jean Ward; and brother, Eddy Ward.
Ted is survived by his brother, Robbie Ward; sister-in-law, Marjorie Everett (Don); brother-in-law, Ray Norman, Jr.; step mother, Lucy N. Ward; step brother Matt Middleton; step sisters, Melissa Nieves and P. J. Collier (Scott); nephews, Bobby Carter, Michael Norman, and William Norman; niece, Celeste Tarner; and life-long special friend, Joyce Jones.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local Hospice the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
