Teressa Gayle (Matthews) Canter

Teressa “Tracy” Gayle Canter, 56, of Liberty passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 at her residence.

A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Tracy had a big heart and was generous to a fault. She was always helping others. Tracy retired in 2011 from US Airways (formerly Piedmont Airlines) after twenty-eight years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bonnie Matthews and her son, Jonathan Matthews.

Tracy is survived by her husband, David Canter of the home; son, Jeremy Burgin of Winston-Salem; brothers, Robbie Matthews of Winston-Salem and Harold Matthews of King; and grandson, Liam Matthews of the home.
