Terrence Del Wood

Mr. Terrence D. Wood, 61, of Greensboro, NC passed away July 3, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Rehobeth Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the family life center.

Mr. Wood was born in Guilford County to the late Franklin Delmer Wood and surviving Judy Toomes Wood. He served in the United Stated Army for 4 years as an MP. Later in life, Terrence worked for various companies as a medical transcriptionist. At the time of his death, he was proudly employed by Republic Services, a job he thoroughly enjoyed.  He was a member of Rehobeth Church, and a self-taught musician who could play many instruments. Terrence enjoyed many simple pleasures in life; mowing with his zero-turn, fires in his firepit, vacations to West Virginia and the beach, and watching movies. He was a foodie, always ready for any cheeseburger, but he loved Shelly’s cooking the most. Terrence was loved by all who knew him and his presence will be greatly missed by those around him.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Wood.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shelly Wood of the home; mother Judy Wood; and numerous extended family members and special friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be left to any local animal shelter.
