Thomas Junior McDaniel

Thomas J. McDaniel, 75, of Greensboro, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at George Brothers Funeral Service.  Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home, and other times at the home.

Tommy was born March 6, 1950 in Guilford County, NC to the late Thomas William and Ruby Haithcock McDaniel. He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, son, father, and Pop. He was married to his sweetheart for 50 years. He worked for Thompson Arthur Paving Co., NCDOT, and Blythe as a paver and he drove 18-wheelers with his dad at “McDaniel & Sons.” He enjoyed leisure time with his wife and family, and spent all his free time on the water, fishing. He was a member of Bassmasters and Fishers of Men.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Diane Hardy McDaniel; siblings, Earl Perdue, Edith Morris, and Della Morgan; and nephew Bryant Barham.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Kathy McDaniel and Betsy May (Toby); five grandchildren, Taylor Cook, Diana Griffith, Macy Fulk, James “Bubba” May (Bailey), and Ches Fulk (Maddie); four great-grandchildren, Aley Cook, Caroline Griffith, Kruz Cook, and Jaxon Griffith; one great-grandchild on the way; sister Joann Barham; and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
