Thomas “Tommy” Fletcher Crews, Sr., died Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Terra Bella House in Harrisburg NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 30, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service with burial to follow at Rehobeth Church. Mr. Crews will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Crews was born July 16, 1939 in Durham NC to the late Walter McKinley Crews and Pauline Wilkerson Crews. He was a member of Rehobeth Church where he attended the Young Adults for Christ Sunday School Class. He retired from Vestals Pontiac/Buick where he worked as the Parts Manager. He served in the US National Guard and was a member of the Swinging Stars and Carolinians Square Dance Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maebelle Crews.
Mr. Crews is survived by his wife, Peggy Crews; son, Thomas Crews, Jr. (Sharon); sister, Mylo Little; brother Malcolm Douglas Crews (Rosalee); stepchildren, Danny Hardin (Linda), Debra Hodgin (Michael); step grandchildren, Stephanie (Steve), Stephen, Taylor, Paige (Tray), Tanner (Bre), and Tyler; great-step grandchildren, Luke, Ella, Emma, and Remi.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rehobeth Church, 4475 Rehobeth Church Road, Greensboro NC 27406.
