Thomas “Tommy” Jerry Wyrick, 64, died Saturday, July 3, 2021.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at George Brothers Funeral Service Chapel, with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Tommy was born July 1, 1957 in Guilford County to the late Woodrow W. Wyrick and Myrtle Still Wyrick. He loved to fish, hunt, and ride Harleys. He always jokingly said that he had a total of six moms, five of which were his loving sisters. Being the baby of the family, he was treated as such, whether he liked it or not. He was a man that was skilled with his hands through his trade of carpentry. A trade that he began perfecting through working with his father as arborist.
He continually shared his love for his nieces and nephews by attending church plays, weddings, and family parties. Tommy was especially loved and adored by his loyal canine companion Woody.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jo Ann Souther, and Linda Garner; and brothers-in-law, Jack Garner and Thomas S. Clark, Jr.
Tommy is survived by his sisters, Alice W. Clark, Nancy W. Wicker, and husband Henry, Jean W. Combs, and husband Dale; brother-in-law, Eddie Souther; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
