Tioko "Rejoice" Benissan Kouassivi

Tioko “Rejoice” Benissan Kousasivi, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am at Change The Nations Church located at 4619 Mercury Dr. Greensboro, NC 27410 with Pastor Patrick Mubobo officiating.  Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery located at 1550 NC-62 W. High Point, NC 27263 following the service.

Tioko was preceded in death by her husband, Emmanel Obobi; parents, Elias Noah Kouossivi and Grace Fiawo; and sister, Rosita Olympio.

She was a loving mother, wife and provider for her family who loved her church.  She was the first president of the Women’s Fellowship of Change The Nations Church, was an original member of the church choir, and was also on the prayer team.

She is survived by her sons, Tete “Fabrice” Obobi and Dodji “Elpidio” Obobi.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 4:00-6:00 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.
