Tommy Ray Souther, 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior December 29, 2025, reuniting with his cherished wife whom he missed dearly.
Born July 28, 1948, to the late Rowe & Violet Souther, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Debra Jean Souther and his siblings, Eddie Souther, Sr., Jackie Amos, and Gay Souther.
Ray was a US Marine/Vietnam Vet and proudly served his country. He was known for his quiet demeanor and warm smile. He was a former Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Children’s Church Worker and loved working with children of all ages. His daughter Amanda was the light of his life.
Survivors are daughter, Amanda Rae Souther Burdette (Adam), Grandchildren, Andrew & Ava Burdette and sister Lily Coble along with many nieces and nephews. Special niece who was like a daughter to him is Penny Moore (Lee) and God daughter Susan Watkins Newell.
A celebration of life will be posted and held at a later date.
