Victoria Alice (Worrell) Padilla

Victoria Alice Worrell Padilla, 73, of High Point, NC, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her children.

Born on August 3, 1951, in Winston-Salem, NC, Vikki was the cherished daughter of JP and Edith Worrell. She was raised in Browns Summit, NC, alongside her two older brothers and three younger sisters.

Vikki was a devoted mother, a loving sister, a loyal friend, and a woman of unwavering faith. She leaves behind her beloved children: Shannon Starling, Shawn Worrell(Sherri), Eddie Padilla(Stephanie), and Ashli Knight(DaRon); her siblings: Bobby Worrell (Carolyn), Jim Worrell, Terri Cromer(Charlie), Retta Powell(Russell) and Joni Murray; her grandchildren: KaRay, Carolina, Torrey, Cairo, Noah, Maddie, and Hatteras, as well as  her great-grandson, Kayson and goddaughter, Victoria Valentin. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and legacy.

She was preceded in death by her father, JP; her loving mother, Edith; her former husband, Eddie; and her best friend, David.

Proud of her Southern roots and Puerto Rican heritage, Vikki embraced life with a fierce spirit. She was a loud and proud  Yankees fan, who found joy in the simple pleasures—rainy days, a fresh snowfall, cozy scarves, warm socks, and the laughter of her grandchildren. A quiet soul at heart, she was happiest with her iPad in hand, playing online Spades and enjoying the peaceful comfort of solitude.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, June 30th at 6:00pm at George Brothers Funeral Services, 803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406. The family will receive friends following the service.

Vikki’s warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
