Wilma Monroe Obituary
Mrs. Wilma Comer Monroe, 89, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at South Elm Street Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with Dr. Lawrence Clapp officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Wilma was born April 8, 1931 in Alamance County to the late John and Mallie Comer.
She was a faithful member of South Elm Street Baptist Church and formerly employed with Jefferson Pilot Insurance Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Charlie Comer.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas L Monroe; her daughter, Dawn Poole and husband Stephen; 4 grandchildren, Patrick, Madison, Ava and Matthew Poole; and a brother, Harold Comer and his wife Helen.
