Mr. Albert Marshall "Pete" Bush

Mr. Albert Marshall “Pete” Bush, age 79, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, at George Brothers Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Pete was self-employed for 50 years at A.M. Bush Insurance Company, and was with the Greensboro Fire Department from 1963-1969.  He was a faithful member of Martin Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Choir Director.  Pete served his country in the Army National Guard from 1959 -1963.  He also coached little league, pony, junior varsity, and varsity baseball for 25 years.

He was a family man who loved spending time with his family and extended family. As an avid sports fan he loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in all types of sports.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Ethel Phillips Bush, brother Lawrence E. Bush, Jr. and sister Florence B. Hipp

Pete is survived by his wife Brenda Bush of 50 years of McLeansville, children Cynthia Bush Justice of McLeansville and Billy Bush of Stokesdale. He is also survived by his sisters Dorothy Hoyle of Greensboro, Frances Puckett (Fred) of Greensboro, brother Bennie Bush (Annette) of Brown Summit and sister-in-law Stella Bush.  He was adored by his granddaughters Victoria Chambers (Daniel), Addison Justice, Becka Bush, grandson Taylor Marshall Bush and great-granddaughter Aurelia Chambers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-8:00pm Thursday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
