Brenda Victoria (Seagraves) Stout

Mrs. Brenda Victoria Seagraves Stout, 68, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Lakeland, FL.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Reverend Archie Creed officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Jonesville, NC.

Born in the Sumner community just South of Greensboro to the late James and Dorothia Seagraves, Brenda also lived in the Winston Salem area for thirty eight years.    She was a supporter of the ministry of Reverend Jimmy Swaggart and was a media church member.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Dorothia Leverett; sisters, Ruth Michael and Tommie Ann Hughes; and brother, Sammy Seagraves.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bernard “Sonny” B. Stout, Jr., of the home; daughter, Jackie McColister (Chuck), of Lakeland, FL; son, Albert Lee Stout, of Winston Salem; granddaughters, Victoria Oldham (Jerry), of Winter Haven, FL and Rachel McColister, of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Joshua McColister,of San Diego, CA, Gabriel McColister, of Lemoore, CA, and Elijah McColister, of Lakeland, FL; great-granddaughter, Raelyn Oldham, of Winter Haven, FL; brothers, Kenneth (Louise), Billy (Georgia), and Wayne (Gail) Seagraves, all of Greensboro; and sister, Charlotte Davis, of Greensboro.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Hospice and Palliative Care organization.  Mrs. Stout was with Good Shepherd (Poppy Team) in Lakeland, Fl.
