Jason Donald Mann, Sr.

Mr. Jason Donald Mann, Sr., 86, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Reverend Keith Carroll officiating.  Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Theresa Mann; brothers, Elbert Mann and Carey Mann; and sisters, Dixie Mann, Lorine Merrill, Mary Emily Fuller, and Phyllis Mann.

Jason loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.  He enjoyed golf as well as most other sports, and was an Atlanta Braves fan.  One of his favorite pass times was playing Rook.  He took great pleasure in volunteering with Horsepower, an equine therapeutic learning center.  He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked 25 years as a district service manager with Lanier and retired in 1991.

Mr. Mann is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Patricia McCluskey Mann; son, Jason “Donnie” Mann, Jr. (Lois), of Greensboro; son, Robert Mann, of High Point; daughter, Elizabeth Eubanks, of Randleman; daughter, Anna Leigh Soudrette (Mark), of Stoney Creek; daughter, Lori Vaden, of Pinnacle; grandchildren, Tiffany Mann, Jaimie Bynum, Jason Eubanks (Ciara), Josiah Mann, Joshua Eubanks (Ashley), and Jesse Mann; great-grandchildren, Landen, Jayden, Julius, Brody, and Ellie; sister, Judith Hartford; brother, Garrison Mann (Jackie); as well as many nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
