I worked with Jimmy at WDXI in Jackson, Tn around 1968 or 1969. He was very excited to get his gig at WCOG. Yes, I remember the VW bug. He was a loyal friend. Glad to see he found a home in Greensboro. Rest In Peace old friend.

I was a freshman at UNCG in 1976. I absolutely LOVED listening to The Red-Headed Razorback on 13 COG. Everyday at lunch he would say time to eat my turkey sandwich. As a top 40 radio buff I think Jimmy was the ultimate DJ. I'm sorry I just learned of his passing. No I never met Jimmy but I would have treasured the opportunity. I wish I had airchecks from him. I LOVED the way he spoke his mind about records he played. Tom McGuire, Jimmy Fulmer, Bob Dayton, Pat McGowan and The Allnighter Paul Stevens....my God what has happened to radio?? Rest in Peace. Your memory at COG lives on with me.

Remember Jimmy from the 1970s. Recall him discussing Marilyn McCoo and her husband that ugly Billy Davis. A favorite DJ of mine. Talked to him a while ago about those days. May he rest in peace.

Jimmy was a one of king guy, a faithful employee, and the ultimate Razorback fan. Will miss seeing looking out the window, and seeing his "Bug" drive up to come to work with enough food to feed a Sunday School Picnic Crowd.
Will miss him very much. Blessings, love and prayers to the family back in Conway, Arkansas.
