Kathryn "Pat" Hetherington

Kathryn “Pat” Lee Hetherington peacefully went to be with the lord on July 17, 2016, with her daughter by her side after battling years of dementia.

 A celebration of her life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. 

Born June 22nd 1932 in Albemarle NC., Pat was the daughter of the late Therman James and Maude Lou Whitley. Pat loved life, and everyone who knew her felt that love and beauty. She devoted her love to her lord, her family, friends and especially her flowers. Pat spent most of her life in Myrtle Beach SC and the last 13 years in Greensboro NC.  Pat worked in retail in Myrtle Beach SC and was the co-owner of the former Bride’s Delight bridal shop of Myrtle Beach, SC.  She was an active member of Ocean View Baptist Church, then Freewill Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach and most recently of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church of Greensboro NC.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Junior Dennis, second husband Curtis Lee, third husband Joseph Hetherington and son-in-law Eugene Smart.

She is Survived by her Daughter Deborah Smart of Greensboro, NC, Son Eddie Dawkins & wife Margie Dawkins of Myrtle Beach, SC, her granddaughter Richelle Smart of Indialantic, FL and grandson Samuel Smart of Greensboro, NC. 

The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
