Linda Hall Tanner

Mrs. Linda Hall Tanner, 68, of Greensboro, passed away January 19, 2016, at Ashton Place.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday at George Brothers Funeral Service and she will lie in state from 10-11:00am. The burial will be at Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pilot Mountain.

Mrs. Tanner was born July 18, 1947, in Forsyth County. She was a member of Good Shepherd Church and Designing Women For Christ. She worked in the optical business for thirty years.

Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Avis Gordon Hall; two brothers, Jimmy Hall and Vestal Hall and her sister, Debbie Gasper; special father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mittie Tanner; and brother-in-law Tommy.

She is survived by her husband, Garland Tanner; her son, Scotty Tanner (Gina) of Burlington; step son, Allen Tanner (Monica) of Greensboro; five grandchildren; and dear brothers and sisters-in-law, Norma (Joe), Ann, Travis, Margaret (Bobby), Bobby (Dana), Bud “brother” (Dot), and Peggy.
