Mrs. Rose Pearl Jobe
November 8, 1919 ~ December 11, 2017 (age 98) 98 Years OldPearl Rose Jobe, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 11, 2017.
Pearl grew up in humble beginnings in rural southern Guilford County. Despite her soft-spoken and kind nature, Pearl was a hard worker tending the farm alongside her husband, cooking, canning and raising three children. A God-fearing woman, her faith was strong in her Savior. She always kept a suitcase packed for annual summer trips to the mountains and the beach.
She was preceded in death by husbands Nathanial Wilson and Thomas F. Jobe; sister Elizabeth “Lizzy” Jones; son Hugh T. Wilson; son-in-law Paul Causey; and two infant sons.
She is survived by daughters Mary Causey and Betty Williamson; daughter-in-law Delores Wilson; two nieces Shelby Allred and Diane Mincey; grandchildren Carl Wilson, Lora Routh, Lorrie Varner, Ronnie Causey, Janice Wilson, and Michele Moore; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 3:30pm Thursday at Vandalia Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Alamance Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30pm-3:30pm at Vandalia Baptist Church.
