Mrs. Ruth A. (Hetzel) Jackson
November 19, 1924 ~ April 24, 2016 (age 91) 91 Years OldMrs. Ruth A. Jackson, age 91, passed away Sunday April 24, 2016 at Ashton Place in McLeansville.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Friday at Green Hill Cemetery.
During WWII, she helped with the war effort as an assembler of parts for Naval Maritime, and was later employed with F.W. Woolworth for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Herman Lee Jackson; son Lewis Paul Jackson; sisters Anna Marie and Edna; and brothers William and Clarence.
She is survived by her children Danny Jackson (Ginger) of Rocky Point, and Carolyn Drew (Steven) of Greensboro; grandchildren Cookie Wall, Christopher Jackson, Cindy Dolin, Laura Caballero, and Jason Drew. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Morningview at Irving Park for their care and friendship over the last few years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at George Brothers Funeral Service.
