I am so grateful for the friendship with pastor George. The many times he allowed me to share in song and the word at his church with the trumpet. If more people and pastors loved theLord like him this world would be a different place. He was a brother and great friend.

Sincerely,

Martin Murrell

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Dallas George. We knew him as a devoted man to God first, then family, then his church family. All praise to our loving God who promises, "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

I so appreciate the family letting me know about Pastor George's home going. I always enjoyed our conversations at Danny's Restaurant. I sensed a deep love for Jesus and for other people in him. He always encouraged me in ministry. My prayers are with you today as we look forward to the glory and hope of heaven.

I first met Dallas over thirty years ago. He drove my school bus at Vandalia Christian School. He was always witty and quick with a joke, I instantly liked him. I used to come home and share his stories and testimony with my family. When our church shut its doors and we were looking for a home we thought of Dallas and his testimony. We decided to visit New Testament Baptist Church and immediately felt this is where the Lord led us. There was a time in my life where I strayed from God and Dallas was there as a spiritual coach, pastor and loving friend. Words can't begin to express what an effect "Preacher Man" has had on my life. I'm just one life on the many that he touched through his ministry.
Psalms 30:5 - "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning." ... I can't wait until that joyous day I see you again!

Jeff and the George family: Jeff, I was so sorry to hear about your father. He must have been a great man. I just wanted to send our condolences and to thank you again for the services you provided us just a week ago when my husband passed away. It was hard but George Brothers made it so much more comforting for us. I pray that God will bless you in your own time of grieving and that we all can be comforted in knowing that our loved ones are no longer in pain and now have a new body and are in the arms of Jesus. God Bless you all! I know what you are going through......Brenda Inman and family

Such a wonderful man! My pastor my whole childhood. He married us with hesitation because we had already had a child but he decided that if we were going to be a family he would make it official. We will be celebrating 20 years in a few months but have always been great full for him. Love Always!!

Jeff, Scotty, Kevin and Michael,

It is with great sadness to learn of this news. As the pastor said, your daddy did a great job of raising you boys. His influence in all of your lives has been very impactful. You should all be very proud of his heritage and I know you are. From all of us at L&T, our hearts go out to you and may God bless and give you strength.

Glenda, Michael, Scotty, Kevin, Jeff (and Kim),
We are so sad to hear of the loss of your dear husband and father. What a wonderful Pastor, Husband, Father, Paw-Paw and Friend. Of course Steve grew up at New Testament and when we were married, he said we had to go to this wonderful church. I am so thankful for the many sermons I heard by "Preacher Man" (as Kim would say), I still have the notes that I hold dearly and can reflect on from time to time. I remember driving 20 miles each way across town on Sunday morning, Sunday night & Wednesday night to attend this great church. Pattie & Cody spent most of their young lives at this wonderful church and was taught by Ms. Kim and Ms. Minnie and what a great deal they learned. I have fond memories of teaching VBS there and listening to all the great sermons. Pastor George was always there to listen and such a blessing to our family. I hate we haven't been back to visit lately but have been praying for you. We have kept posted on everyone through Mrs. Vance. I know Pastor is walking on streets of gold today and not suffering anymore. I know it will be especially hard tomorrow being Father's Day. May God wrap his arms around you and give you comfort as only he can. Know that Pastor is looking down on his wonderful wife, children and grandchildren with a smiling heart. What a legacy he left behind. May God bless and comfort you all. Please let us know if there's anything we can do. Love in Christ-The Dowdy Family

Dearest Glenda & Sons,
Although I have not seen you in a couple of decades you have been in my mind quite often, especially in last few months. There are always three things which stand out in my remembrances of Pastor George: 1)His quiet faithfulness 2)His humbleness 3) I always felt and saw God's love in his preaching. I well remember his great investment in the lives of you boys. Along with much sadness in losing such a loving husband and father I know their must be such pride and thankfulness in having him as your dad and husband. It saddens me after all these years of non-communication to hear of such a dear one gone from our presence. But praise be unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we will all be reunited to all our past loved ones who left in knowing Jesus as their personal Savior.
May God surround you in His quiet love and pour out His grace upon you in these sorrowful days ahead.
Love in Jesus,
Joyce Shepherd

Preacher George was the only Preacher I knew growing up. He did things for me in my teenage years that I'm not proud of, but he NEVER judged me in any way, just loved me.. He was loved by my whole family and will be joining my daddy, Chuck East, Mama D and Paw Paw. He married me and my kids father, because I wouldn't have anyone else do it. He was a great man, a true man of God, a loving man, a great father and grandfather, a wonderful friend and forever My Preacher George. We miss you, but enjoy your time with Jesus, because I'm sure you were met by Him and no doubt His words were "Well done thy good and faithful servant"! I love you Preacher George and will never forget you!

My sincere condolences to Glenda and her son's in the loss of a great Pastor. Pastor George always took time to pray with me and share the love of God with anyone who needed His grace and I was impacted by this wonderful kind man when I first entered his church on Easter Sunday, 2001. From that day forward his spiritual guidance and teachings became a vital part of my walk with the Lord. His generous spirit and loving heart will be remembered in the many lives he impacted with his ministry including mine. May the Lord welcome him into His Kingdom and I am praying for the families to be comforted in the days ahead. He will be greatly missed! God bless his beautiful family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love in Christ, Vickie Lege, former member of New Testament Baptist Church.
