I'm so very sorry for your loss. I just talked with Joey a few weeks ago and he told me of his singing videos on You Tube which I have watched. He never once said anything to me about being sick. I'm so glad I got to reconnect with him after all these years. Billy Harvey sends his condolences also. Hugs to you all and may God Bless you. See you again Joey...in Heaven.

I am glad we reconnected this past couple of years. Thanks for the fishing, ping pong, music, and other memories I can not post here. I rode by your old house on Kersey St and saluted it in honor of the many memories.

Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I did not know your loved one personally but as I read the many well wishes from friends and family, I could tell that he will be greatly missed. May you find comfort in the loving promises of our Heavenly Father Jehovah God to restore life to our loved ones during the resurrection. (Acts 24:15) What a grand time that will be! To welcome our loved ones back to perfect life and health on a beautiful new earth in which righteousness will dwell. (Revelation 21:3, 4; 2 Peter 3:13)

Years ago, my husband Greg set up our apartment like a recording studio. Joey helped me write the harmonies for a song I had written, by playing his guitar while I hummed the harmonies. It took us awhile, but we eventually were able to record my song and "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac, with Joey playing and my vocal attempts on... get this... an 8 track tape. (Telling my age there) LOL! We all had so much joy in our music! Joey especially! I knew Joey from High School and so did my husband, but I actually met Greg years later. We all became great friends! He was always a loyal friend. Even though the tape was lost, the friendship never was. I'm sure we all have treasured memories of Joey. He was a dear friend. I know he's embraced by God's love now. He will be missed.

I have such great memories of Joey. Greg (my husband) set our apartment up like a recording studio, years ago, when Joey was over. Joey helped me write the harmonies for a song I wrote by my humming and him playing guitar. We then recorded it and "Landslide", by Fleetwood Mac, with my vocal attempts on ... get this ... an 8 track tape! LOL . Telling my age there. The tape was lost over the years. (actually swiped LOL) We had so much joy in our music! My husband and I had known Joey before we even knew each other, around our high school years. He will be missed, but I'm sure we all have many treasured memories of him. A great guy in God's care now!

Dearest Family of Joey - oh my gosh, what a beautiful soul. He brought music into this World that has yet to be made famous and yet, I believe it will be. What a man who was always so careful not to bother others or be a burden. Oh but he would be there if you needed his help, that's for sure. He was tender hearted. What a sense of humor which could sometimes be a bit sarcastic, but no harm meant. Joey, you are too soon gone from this planet. Yet, you are up there with Jesus, singing that last song you wrote while still here with us and He is smiling. I love you, Joey, my friend. See you soon enough. Peace to your Mom and your family. Always, your friend and sister, in Christ....Nanette

I find grace in the knowledge that we will meet again in Heaven. My prayers, my soul, my spirit is with you Aunt Ruby; and your family today, tomorrow, and the weeks to come. Our Joey has found salvation free of cancer, free of pain, and I just know he is singing sweet rock-n-roll music with the angels. What a symphony. I love you all.

So happy Joey and I had the chance to reconnect after all these years. He never told me he was sick but I often thought he seemed to be reflecting on his life. He sounded at peace. I will always remember him just as he looks in the picture you posted. I can still see him in his football jersey full of life! So sorry for your loss.

Aunt Ruby and Lori , I am so sorry for your loss of one of gentleness, kindness man with a big heart of gold. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and to all of us cousins . He lived life to the fullest and loved his family very much. I remember at Ma's funeral he told me he would help out with Ma with what ever we needed, I can't express how this touched my heart of his selfless love, Joey will be missed very much and I know one day we will see each oher again. I know Grandma was waiting at the gate with open loving arms for her Jughead! My love and prayers will be with you always.
