November 6, 1937 ~ July 19, 2015 (age 77) 77 Years OldMr. Wallace F. Britt passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Jim Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Wallace was born November 6, 1937 in Robeson County to the late Bart and Carrie Lamb Britt. He served his country in the US Army and was retired from Cone Mills. He was a faithful member of Plainview Baptist Church, the High Rock Hunting Club and the Woodmen of the World.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shelby Jones Britt of the home; daughters, Dawn Cutts (Chip) of Archdale and Sharol Sumrell (Chip) of Clemmons; 3 grandchildren, Brittany Parson (Danny), Michael Cutts (Hannah) and Skylar Sumrell.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
