Madelyn Elliott Miller

Mrs. Madelyn E. Miller, 73, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Sharpe Road Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

Madelyn was born December 6, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late William Ralph and Flora Rykard Elliott. She retired as office manager from Hajoca Plumbing Supply Company and was a member of Sharpe Baptist Church. She loved playing softball and played for over 30 years, also being inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in Fayetteville, NC.

In addition to her parents, Madelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Allan Robert Miller and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her son, Robert Allan Miller (Michelle) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Ashlee Moore (Rick), Jayme Proffitt (Roger) and Tommy Piet Jr.; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Rooks.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405.
