Mallie Scott Cruthis of High Point, went to meet her God, April 15, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Mustian and Rev. Ronnie Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service at the church.

She was born February 21, 1919 in Surry County to the late Charlotte Hauser and Thomas Scott. She was raised by her dad and stepmother, Shelima Bowman Scott. In addition to her parents, she was proceded in death by her loving husband Jimmy Cruthis; brothers, Ben, Rob, Oliver, Neal, Roy, Troy, Rufus, Henry and Clyde; and sisters, Nervy and Sarah.

Mallie never had any children by birth but was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother to many.  She was a care taker to many, young and old. She was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church in Jamestown and she loved her church family dearly. She worked at  Oak Dale Cotton Mill until she retired at the age of 83.  She loved her job better than most folks love the weekends.  She loved her family beyond words. She didn’t just say the words she showed us all.

She is survived by her sister Marie Scott Hicks and husband Raymond;  adopted “son” Phil Mikles and wife Lettie; “granddaughter”, Barbara Scott McKenzie and husband JR; as well as, many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who loved her very much.

A very special thank you to 2 of her great nieces, Lora Mae Hawkins and Marie Wolf and husband John for their loving care during her days of confinement.
