Marilyn Maxine (Tuell) Dungan

Ms. Marilyn Maxine Tuell Dungan, 83, went to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon at Wesley Long Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June29, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Ray Thomas officiating, assisted by David Surrett.  Burial will take place at Middle Fork Cemetery in Chilhowie, VA following a 2:00 p.m. service on Tuesday June 30 at Bradley Funeral Home in Chilhowie.

Marilyn was born in Madison, NE on December 14, 1931.  She worked at Wesley Long Hospital, Sears Cafeteria on Lawndale Dr., and Greensboro Country Club.  She loved keeping house, cooking, making deserts, crocheting, and taking care of her husband and children.  She attended when she was able at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dungan, Sr. after 61 years of marriage; parents, James and Edna Tuell; brother, Kenneth L. Tuell; and sisters, Eileen Farris, Mary Bennix, and Belva Davis.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Melissa Ann Tolley (Chris), of Greensboro; daughter, LaQuita Ruth Bray (Fred), of Gastonia; daughter Marilyn D. Cassis (Gary), of Sanford; daughter, Frances D. Garner (Ray), of Greensboro; son, Larry M. Dungan, Jr. (Missy), of Brown Summit; ten grandchildren, Kenny, Donnie, Michelle, Sean, Coletta, Natasha, Dana, Alison, Kaila, and Joshua; fourteen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; brother, James Everett Tuell (Cheryl), of Maryland; sister, Shirley Blackmon (Joe), of Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members whom she loved.

The family will receive friends following the service at George Brothers Funeral Service on Monday evening in Greensboro, and from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Bradley Funeral Home in Chilhowie, Virginia.
